Snowflake Classic, sponsored by the Glenwood FSC, will be held at the Southwest Ice Arena, located at 5505 W 127 ^th Street Crestwood, IL on Sunday, November 15, 2026 . The ice surface at the Southwest Ice Arena measures 200 x 75 feet with rounded corners.

Eligibility rules for participants

The competition is open to ALL skaters who are currently eligible (ER 1.00) members of either Learn to Skate USA and those who are full members of U.S. Figure Skating. Members of other organizations are eligible to compete but must be registered with Learn to Skate USA or a member club.

Eligibility and test requirements

Eligibility will be based on skill level as of closing date of entries. All Snowplow Sam-Basic 6 skaters must skate at highest level passed or one level higher and NO official U.S. Figure Skating tests may have been passed, including Skating Skills or individual dances.

For the Aspire 1-4, Excel Free Skate, Well-Balanced Free Skate and Adult Levels eligibility will be based only upon highest Singles test level passed. Skating Skills test level will not determine skater’s competitive level. Skaters may skate at highest level passed OR one level higher, but not both levels in the same event during the same competition. Skaters may not compete at more than one level in the same type of event at the same competition. For safety purposes, groups will be no larger than six (6) skaters.

ENTRIES AND FEES: Registration will be available online only through EntryEeze ( www.entryeeze.com ) via a secured credit card payment. Registration must be completed by midnight October 19, 2026, to avoid a $20 late fee. *Registrations received from October 20th – October 23rd will incur a $20 late fee. Upon completing your application online, an email will be sent to the skater’s coach to verify accuracy of entry. An official at the skater’s home club will also be notified to certify the skater’s standing within the club. Entry fees are per person in the amount of $90 for the first event and $35 for each additional event. Entry fee for Aspire Synchro teams will be $90 plus $10 for each skater. Still photography and videography is included. Skaters will be notified by email after the competition when the downloads are available. *No refunds after the closing date (including illness) unless an event is canceled. Late entries will be accepted from October 20 ^th -October 23rd at the discretion of the referee.

AWARDS : Everyone will receive a medal. ALL awards will be given immediately following the event.

SCHEDULE OF EVENTS: The schedule of events will be posted on the Glenwood FSC WEB page, www.glenwoodfsc.com, no later than five days prior to competition and will include groups and skating times. Groups will be no larger than six (6 ). NOTE: Changes made to a skater’s competition level or event after coach approval of registration or after the deadline will incur a $20 change fee.

PRACTICE ICE: Practice ice will be available for purchase online via Entryeeze. Pre-paid practice ice is available for a cost of $15 for each 20-minute session. Skaters will be assigned to a practice ice session, if purchased. Practice ice will not be sold the day of the competition. All practice ice must be purchased prior to the event through Entryeeze.

MUSIC: The music for all free skating programs must be uploaded through EntryEeze. CD’s will not be accepted/used at this event, but we ask that the skater/coach bring an alternate music option in case of technical difficulties. Time duration is always +/- 10 seconds. NOTE: NEW- prior to uploading your music for the competition, please visit songview.com. This site will check if the skater’s music copyright ownership allows the music to be used. When visiting the site, please enter the Artist and song title for each cut of music. The music must show 100% to be used . Also, video taken at the competition with music cannot be uploaded to any streaming site, i.e.: Facebook. IF MUSIC IS NOT UPLOADED BY THE DEADLINE A $10.00 FEE WILL BE CHARGES. UPLOADING MUSIC AT THE TIME OF REISTRTION IS BEST.

Information regarding coaches

To be credentialed at a Compete USA event, Coaches are required to have:

• Learn to Skate USA Instructor membership OR U.S. Figure Skating full membership.
• SafeSport training to be completed for coaches/instructors 18 years old and older.
• Background check successfully passed for coaches/instructors 18 years old and older.
• Learn to Skate USA Instructor Certification completed OR U.S. Figure Skating compliant coach, for coaches under 18 years old.

*SafeSport training is available through www.usfsaonline.org for full members of U.S. Figure Skating and through Learn to Skate USA portal for instructors. There is no cost to this training.

The local organizing committee/club will have a list of compliant coaches who are cleared for a credential at the competition. Coaches will need to check in at the event registration desk and show a government issued photo I.D. to receive a credential.

If a coach cannot provide a photo I.D. and is not on the list or cannot produce the necessary documents, he or she will not be allowed a credential – no exceptions . We strongly urge all coaches to have their cards with them. Non-credentialed coaches will not be permitted in the designated coaching area at rink side during events including practice sessions. Coaching at U.S. Figure Skating events without compliance is an ethics violation which is reported to U.S. Figure Skating.

PHOTO/VIDEO : Live and on-demand streaming, sales and distribution of US Figure Skating sanctioned and approved events, programs and activities that include the playback of music is strictly prohibited. This prohibition does not apply to the distribution of footage that does not include music. Questions about this can be directed to music@usfigureskating.org .

PHOTOGRAPHY: Action photography will be provided by KrPhotography, www.krphotogs.com . Each skater will be able to download their photos online after the competition.

VIDEOGRAPHY : Videography will be provided by Chicago Star Productions, Inc. www.chicagostarproductions.com . Please note the video will not contain sound .

LIABILITY STATEMENT: U.S. Figure Skating, Learn to Skate USA, Glenwood FSC and the Southwest Ice Arena, accept no responsibility for injury or damage sustained by any participant in the competition. This is in accordance with Rule 1600 of the official U.S. Figure Skating Rulebook
