What we publish

A competitor appears as the name and club printed on the official result for an event — exactly as the source published them, not as we would normalize them. Alongside that: the placement, the scores as recorded, and the event the result belongs to.

Skaters also get a page that gathers their published results in one place, newest first. You find one by searching a name or by tapping a name on a results page.

For a small number of adults who compete at the senior level nationally or internationally, our staff may add details from public sources, such as a short bio, coaches, or official social accounts. Those pages are labelled "Curated from public sources" and list every source. We never do this for anyone under 18, and never add a birth date, family, school, precise location, or contact details.

The "On the podium" row on our homepage and the season-leaders panel are drawn from those same published results. Each card is one placement at one event, and it links back to the results page it came from.

What we deliberately do not publish

• No personal details. No birth dates, ages, schools, hometowns, training rinks, or contact details.
• No skater directory. There is no browsable index of skaters. A page is found by name or from a result.
• No photographs of unclaimed competitors. Where a picture would go, we show initials. Whoever manages a page can add a photo and a cover: the skater themselves (13 or older), or a verified parent or guardian. Every such photo passes a safety check first, and a page we know is for a child under 13 never shows social links. An adult public figure's page may also show a portrait we are licensed or permitted to use, always credited on the page. We never take photos from social media.
• No attention ranking. We do not compute "trending skaters", and the leaders panel is scoped to a single current season at the senior level rather than ranking everyone who competes.

Reading is anonymous

Every public page on this site is served the same to everyone, and reading one needs no account. We count visits to skater pages anonymously to see what people read, and we never tie a visit to a name or an account.

Asking us to change something

Every skater page ends with two links:

• Claim this page. Link your page, or your skater's, to your account once we confirm who you are.
• Report a problem. Tell us a result is wrong or belongs to someone else, and we review it. The same page offers Hide this page: it comes off Rinkday right away, with no account or documents. Results pages still list the name as it was published.

For anything else, write to privacy@rinkday.com with a link to the page. A skater, or the parent or guardian of a minor, can also ask us to stop showing them in results. That removes the person from the results pages, the podium row, and the leaders panel together; it is a single decision, not a per-page one.

Cached copies of a page can survive a short time after a change. Removal reaches our own pages within minutes; search engines and other people's copies are outside our control, though we will tell you what we know about them.
