Facility
All events will be held at Frontier Arena. 3253 W. Seltice Way Coeur d’Alene, ID. There will be NO locker room/dressing room availability. Please have all skaters arrived dressed to perform.
ELIGIBILITY RULES FOR PARTICIPANTS
The competition is open to ALL skaters who are current eligible (ER 1.00) members of either Learn to Skate USA and those who are full members of U.S. Figure Skating. Members of other organizations are eligible to compete but must be registered with Learn to Skate USA or a member club. There will be no more than six competitors maximum in Snowplow Sam-Basic 6 & Adult 1-6 events and all six should receive an award. All other events will be at the discretion of the chief referee and places 1-4 will receive an award. All showcase events
Eligibility and Test Requirements
Eligibility will be based on skill level as of closing date of entries. All skaters must skate at highest level passed or one level higher and NO official U.S. Figure Skating tests may have been passed, including Moves in the Field or individual dances.
For the Aspire, Excel, Well Balanced, and Adult levels eligibility will be based only upon highest free skate test level passed. Skating Skills test level will not determine skater’s competitive level. Skaters may skate at highest level passed OR one level higher, but not both levels in the same event during the same competition. Skaters may not compete at more than one level in the same type event at the same competition.
It is very important to the success of the competition that skaters are placed in the correct divisions. If, for whatever reason, the Local Organizing Committee (LOC) discovers that a skater has been placed in a category that is below his/her class level, the chair and referee will have the option to move the skater into the proper division, even if this has to be done the day of the competition. This will ensure that every event is as fair as possible to the competitors. It is an ethical violation for coaches to sandbag an event.Entries
The Spinning Leaves Competition is open to all skaters in good standing with Learn to Skate USA or U.S. Figure Skating and will be governed by the rules as specified in the Compete USA Handbook , except as otherwise specified. The entry fee is $65 for the first figure skating event BEFORE September 4, after September 4 first event is $80. Second event fees will be $35. There will be NO refunds for missed or withdrawn events nor medical refunds.
Music
All competitors’ music must be submitted through Entryeeze by Sept 4th, back up music must be on a smart phone with an appropriate adaptor.
Registration
The registration desk will be open throughout the competition. Skaters must check in at least one hour prior to their event.
Admission
Spectator admission is free to all events.
Practice Ice
Practice Ice may be available for this event.
Video and Photography
There will not be a videographer or photographer for this event.

For events outside of the CUSA Sanction we are offering critiqued exhibitions. Exhibition events will register through Entryeeze with the same deadlines as all competitive events.
