Technical score (TES) The points for every jump, spin and step sequence: each element’s base value plus its grade of execution.
Component score (PCS) The judges’ marks for the program as a whole, such as skating skills, composition and presentation, multiplied by a factor.
Base value What an element is worth before the judges grade how well it was done.
Grade of execution (GOE) The judges’ quality grade for an element, from −5 to +5, added to or taken from its base value.
Call marks q quarter short · < under-rotated · << downgraded · e wrong edge · ! unclear edge. The technical panel adds them to the element code.
Factor The multiplier a level and segment apply to each program component mark.
Deductions Points taken off the segment score, for example for a fall or a time violation.
